Jacquie Leveron

Jacquie was born in Cuba, and at the age of nine migrated to the United States with her family.  She holds an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University.  She received her Master of Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University and is presently working on her Doctorate in Ministry at Asbury Seminary.

She speaks frequently at retreats, conferences and churches.  She was ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1993.  She has served in churches in Key West, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, and Sanlando.

She has served on the Board of Ordained Ministry, the District Committee on Ordained Ministry, the District Leadership Council, the Cuba Covenant Task Force, and the Board of Trustees of the Florida Children's Home, to name a few.

She is the mother of two beautiful blessings, Shirah and Shayna.  Jacquie's greatest passion is teaching people about the love of Christ and how to passionately pursue their God-given purpose as they walk hand-in-hand with their heavenly Father in this awesome world.

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Edwin came to the U.S. in 2001. He received the call to ministry while serving in the U.S. Army and has had the privilege of serving Christ in various capacities. Edwin’s ministry experience includes serving as youth leader, itinerant evangelist, associate pastor, and adjunct professor of theology and ministry at Christian universities and Bible institutes. A graduate of Rhema Bible Training College, Edwin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry and Leadership from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and a Master’s degree in Practical Theology from Oral Roberts University. He is married to his beautiful wife, Veronica, and together they have a son, Samuel.

Orlando Ramirez

PASTOR OF HISPANIC MINISTRY

Orlando was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. In 1998, he served as the associate pastor for his local church in Havana. In 2000, he received a pastoral appointment with the Cuba Methodist Church and continues to serve as a pastor here in Naples, Florida. In 2004, Orlando obtained an Associate Degree in Bible. He is currently enrolled in UBL Bible College studying for the Bachelor of Theology. He obtained a license for Clinical Pastoral Education in 2014. He is currently a local pastor in full connection with the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. He serves as pastor of the new church "Connection", and also as a pastor of the Hispanic Ministry at East Naples UMC. Orlando is married to Betsy and have a teenage son Daniel, and daughter Elany.  He is committed to helping the Hispanic community in Naples to connect with God, with God's people, with the call of God and with people without God. For that we exist.

Michele brings over 25 years of experience in early childhood education to the Learning Center.  Michele has a Degree in Early Childhood Education.  She has her Director’s Credential through the state of Florida.  She also has her Child Development Association Certification and Christian Child Education Development Certification.  She is a member of the Child Development Alliance for young children, and is active in several agencies for early childhood.  Michele has a heart for children, a heart for the Lord, and a spontaneous inviting smile. Michele and her family are actively involved at their church as well as ENUMC.  She is married to Al who is a Bible and Life Group Leader.  They have two children: Nicole and AJ, who is married to Colleen, and all three are teachers.

Brent received his undergraduate degree in Music Education from West Virginia Institute of Technology where he studied piano with Olive Meyers and conducting and voice with Guy Owen Baker.  He received his Masters in Music degree in Choral Conducting from West Virginia University studying with Dr. Kathleen Shannon.  While at WVU, he also served as the Assistant Director Choirs.  Brent has taught choral music at the middle school, high school, and college levels.  He recently retired from Morgantown High School in Morgantown, WV where he was the Director of Choirs and taught guitar, music theory and directed the Freshman Choir, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Jazz Choir and Images - the award-winning competition show choir. After moving to Naples, FL in 2014, Brent sang with the Voices of Naples and became active with the Naples Players, appearing in musical productions and working behind the scenes.

Kristin grew up in Buffalo, New York and loves her home teams- the Bills and the Sabres! She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Allegheny College in Meadville PA and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Canisus College in Buffalo, NY. Kristin moved to Naples in 2003 to begin her teaching career at Manatee Elementary, where she is still currently employed. She joined East Naples UMC as youth director from 2004-2010 and returned as the Director of Children’s Ministries May 2016.  She has been a long time member of the United Methodist church, starting out at Christ UMC in Amherst, NY and transferred her membership to East Naples UMC in 2004. She loves working with the children and has a passion for teaching them about the love of Christ!

LaVon Mattson

ORGANIST

 

 

 

 

 

LaVon Mattson is an accomplished performer and teacher of piano and organ. A native of Kulm, North Dakota, she was a voice and piano major at Bethel College in Minnesota and Viterbo College in Wisconsin. Prior to moving to Florida, she was the administrative assistant to the president of the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan.
